Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City is one of the 8 municipalities in Banke District of Lumbini Province. As per the 2021 census, the sub-metropolitan city has a total population of 164,444, comprising 82,755 males (50.3%) and 81,689 females (49.7%), with a literacy rate of 76.24%.
