The Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) has issued an amendment notice regarding its recent recruitment, expanding the eligibility criteria for a faculty position within its Pharmacology Department.
The amendment specifically targets the post of Assistant Professor of Pharmacology. While the original requirement was limited to candidates holding an MD in Pharmacology, the university has now opened the application pool to include those with an M.Sc. (Medical) in Pharmacology.
Amendment in Qualification Criteria
Under the Pharmacology Department, the eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Professor have been revised as detailed below:

- b. Minimum of two research and two research/original articles published in Indexed national/international journals as the first author at the level of Associate Professor.

Requirements:
a. Should have a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification recognized by Kathmandu University and holding the position of a consultant in a recognized hospital with an experience of 8 years (including 3 years teaching experience in the same subject) in the specialty after postgraduate degree, AND
b. Must have 5 research/original articles published in national/international Indexed journal, as First author.

- Should have DM/M.Ch degree and 6 years of work experience after MD/MS including DM/M.Ch. Candidate must have teaching experience for a minimum of two years in a recognized Medical College/Institute and Candidate should have three original articles related within the subject area of DM/M.Ch.
