The Government of Nepal’s Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has invited applications for a significant number of permanent teaching positions at the secondary level. 

According to the decision of the Teachers Service Commission dated 2082/10/02, permanent posts for the position of Secondary Level, Third Class Teacher in community schools must be filled through open and inclusive competitive examinations. Therefore, this notice has been published for interested candidates who meet the minimum qualifications to submit their applications according to the following details:

  • Application fee: Rs. 1,000 (Rs 600 each for inclusive group)

Required Qualification

  • Must be a Nepali citizen.
  • Must not be disqualified under Rule 10 of the Teachers Service Commission Rules (with amendments), 2057.
  • Must have passed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (at least 300 full marks or 12 credit hours) in the relevant subject from a recognized educational institution.
  • Must have completed at least 10 months of training in education.
  • Candidates applying for English, Mathematics, Science, Office Management and Accountancy, or Computer Science subjects may apply without the 10-month training, provided they have completed their Bachelor's degree.
  • For Social Studies, candidates who have a Bachelor’s in Social Studies (Education) or a Bachelor's degree in Economics, History, Rural Development, Geography, Civics, Political Science, Philosophy, Ethics, Psychology, Anthropology, Environmental Education, Health Education, Physical Education, Culture, Sociology, Population Education, or Health and Physical Education are eligible.
  • Must possess a Permanent Teaching License for the Secondary Level.
  • Additional Provisions regarding Teaching Licenses:
    • Individuals who have obtained a teaching license in Social Studies (after meeting the qualifications in section 'c') are also eligible to be candidates for exams in Economics and Health and Physical Education under this advertisement.
    • For Sanskrit subjects, individuals who have obtained a permanent teaching license in the Nepali subject are also eligible to be candidates.
    • Individuals who have obtained a subject-specific permanent teaching license can only be candidates for that specific subject.
  • A candidate currently serving in a permanent teacher position at the same level is not eligible to apply.

Documents to be Uploaded:

The following documents must be scanned and uploaded to the specific locations designated by the online application system in jpeg/jpg format (maximum size 200 KB):

  • Citizenship Certificate
  • Recent Passport-sized Photograph
  • Signature Sample
  • Academic Transcript (of the minimum required qualification)
  • Training Certificate (if applicable)
  • Equivalence Certificate (only for those who studied at foreign educational institutions)

Additional Documents to be Submitted by Inclusive Category Candidates:

  • (a) For Adibasi/Janajati: A document based on the list specified in the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, 2058 (2002). If there are multiple surnames within a caste listed in the Act, a document certified by the Chief District Officer (CDO), upon recommendation from the head of the respective local level, confirming that the surname belongs to the caste listed in the Act.
  • (b) For Madhesi, Adibasi/Janajati, Dalit, Backward Classes, or Minority Muslim communities residing in Terai-Madhesh: A document certified by an institution designated by the Government of Nepal through a notice published in the Nepal Gazette. If such an institution is not designated, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, upon recommendation from the head of the respective local level, confirming that the individual belongs to the Madhesi, Adibasi/Janajati, Dalit, backward class, or minority Muslim community residing in Terai-Madhesh.
  • (c) For Dalit: A document based on the list of castes specified by the National Dalit Commission. If there are multiple surnames within a caste listed by the Commission, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, upon recommendation from the head of the respective local level, confirming that the surname belongs to the caste listed by the Commission.
  • (d) For Disability: A certified identity card stating the classification of disability, issued by the Social Welfare Council or the respective local level.
  • (e) For Backward Areas: A citizenship certificate obtained from the respective district mentioning permanent residency in Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu, or Humla districts. Additionally, a document certified by the respective local level confirming permanent residency in the same location at the time of submitting the application.

Payment Details:

Forms must be submitted through the Commission's online application system. Before submitting the form, please verify once whether any details you filled in are missing or if any documents have been left out. After verifying, Click on the submitted application details. Since no applicant details can be changed after the application fee has been paid, please ensure the details are correct accordingly. Then, in the advertisement you have applied for, Click on "Click here to pay the fee." In the Bank Option, choose either Rastriya Banijya Bank or Nepal Bank Limited. After selecting the bank, Click on "Get Voucher." 

The voucher should be printed, and the specified amount must be paid by taking that voucher to the respective bank. In the case of Online payment, after the voucher is generated, Click on "Make Online Payment" on that page. From the available payment options, select and Click on the logo of any one option present on the portal.

Afterward, Click on "Make Payment". Then, enter the Username and password of the selected digital wallet and deposit the specified amount via Online Payment. After verifying whether the amount has been deposited, the application will only be confirmed as submitted once the Payment is verified. The Commission will publish a notice for viewing and printing the admit card after the application deadline has expired. For this, keep your email, candidate symbol number, and password safe. Additionally, the applicant must only make the payment through the payment method included within the Teachers Service Commission's online application system by logging into (Login) their profile.
