VCs of Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS)

Prof. Dr. Arjun Karki was the founding Vice Chancellor of Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS). Dr. Karki and his team began the historical journey of forming PAHS in November 2003.

They had overcome various challenges (of intellectual, pedagogic, and political nature) in establishing this institution in February 2008. PAHS launched the MBBS program in 2010. Due to political interference, Dr. Karki did not get the opportunity to serve another tenure at PAHS.  Here is the list of Vice Chancellors (VCs) of PAHS. 

The 2nd VC of PAHS, Prof. Dr. Sangita Bhandary, was removed before the end of her tenure because of the protest, and Prof. Jay Narayan Shah was selected as VC. However, the Supreme Court reinstated Prof. Sangita Bhandary in February 2015, which ended the tenure of Prof. Jay Narayan Shah, and she continued for the remaining period.
