Shree Vindhyavasini Secondary School

Shree Vindhyavasini Secondary School is a community school located in the historic area of Batulechaur in the northern part of the tourist city of Pokhara, Nepal. In 1971 B.S., a language school named 'Bhasha Pathashala' was established in Batulechaur to teach rituals, astrology, and mathematics. Building on this foundation, Vindhyavasini Aadhar School was established on 12th Bhadra, 2004, near the winter palace of King Kulmandan Shah of the Kaski State, with the objective of providing education based on Gandhian principles. Although initially planned to be near the Vindhya Vasini Temple, the school was eventually established in Batulechaur and named Vindhyavasini Aadhar School. The first headmaster was Pandit Muktinath Sharma Timsina, and the school began with 23 students in the first grade. It was gradually upgraded to a lower secondary level in 2014 B.S. and to a secondary level in 2018 B.S. In its first SLC batch in 2021 B.S., all seven students who appeared for the examination passed.

The school celebrated its Golden Jubilee on Kartik 8th and 9th of 2056 B.S. To commemorate the occasion and establish the 10 + 2 level, Shrimad Bhagavata Mahapuran and National Mahayagya were organized from 23rd to 30th Kartik, 2057 B.S. The management stream for Grade 11 began on 17th Shrawan, 2058 B.S..
