About Us

Shree Rastriya Ramaniya Adarsha Secondary School is located in Shivasatakshi Municipality-11, Jhapa District, in Koshi Province. The school is situated in the Dudhe Bazaar area, approximately 5 kilometers west of the Kankai River, along the East-West Highway. It offers classes from Nursery to Grade 12. In 2074 BS, the school introduced English-medium education for all grades. The school offers Plus Two programs in the Education and Management streams, affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB). Currently, around 1,300 students are enrolled. The facilities include permanent buildings, a science lab, computer resources, and clean drinking water. With the support of teachers, guardians, and the local community, the school is dedicated to providing quality education to its students from Nursery through Grade 12.

Historical Background

The school was established on Magh 17, 2026 BS, by local social workers and education-loving guardians who wanted to bring education to the people of this region. At that time, the area faced poverty and a lack of education. The school was first named Shree Nepal Rashtriya Ramaniya Aadarsha High School.

In its early years, the school faced many difficulties. After SLC examinations were conducted twice, it was downgraded to the lower secondary level under the National Education System Plan, 2028 BS. From 2030 BS to 2037 BS, the school operated classes 4 to 7 as a lower secondary institution.

During this time, the school had no land or building of its own. In 2028 BS, education lover Til Bahadur Kadariya donated 6 kaththa of land free of cost. A 5-room building was built on this land, and classes started there.

With the efforts of local education advocates and social workers, the school was upgraded again. Class 8 was started in 2037 BS. On Magh 17, 2040 BS, the then Home Minister, Padma Sundar Lawati, inaugurated the secondary-level facilities at this school. Since then, thousands of students have studied up to secondary level here.

In 2055 BS, Satasidham Higher Secondary School began operations in its building. In 2060 BS, this higher secondary school was merged with this school. Since then, the school has been running as Shree Rastriya Ramaniya Adarsha Secondary School. The school has also been a resource center school since 2042 BS.

For many years, the school faced a shortage of proper buildings. After 2061 BS, major construction began. During the time of Head Teacher Umanath Dahal, with support from the School Management Committee, three permanent buildings with 13 rooms were built.

In 2073/74 BS, under the Head Teacher, Kali Prasad Rijal, a 2-room building was added with grants of Rs. 16 lakh from the Education Department and Rs. 5 lakh from school funds. In 2078 BS, another 2-room building was built with a grant of Rs. 16 lakh. Under the President's Educational Reform Program, a 4-room building has been completed in 2079 BS. Another room is being built with school funds.
