Paschimanchal Technical School

Paschimanchal Technical School visions on creating successful result in job oriented education in Western Nepal through technical programs offered in the college. It is affiliated to Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and Accredited from Nepal Professional Health Council (NPHC). It is located in Pokhara in Kaski district and was established in 1995 A.D. It has been providing higher quality education since its establishment with a possibility to meet its objectives to create skillful human capital in Nepal for economic growth of the country.

The school has been offering Pre-diploma/TSLC courses in Community Medical Assistant and Social Mobilization.

For Pre-diploma course in Community Medical Assistant, candidates must have completed their SEE, need to go to 15-month training in the training institution. However, all the candidates irrespective of their schooling will be required to take an entrance examination to assess their aptitude in the field. The candidates will be finally selected on the basis of merit list. The course duration is 12 months (1560 hours) plus 3 months on the job training. Trainees will be placed in different areas of health care practice after completing final examination as an OJT. Trainees must complete the OJT training under the supervision of concerned supervisor.

And, for Pre-diploma course in  Social Mobilization, it is designed for the people, who are interested to work in the society as a community development agent but they have no idea and skill and knowledge to work in this field. It is a 15 month (40 hrs. /week X 39 week a year = 1560 hrs. or one year class and 3 month, OJT) course with internal Assessment of 50% of the marks provided by the training institutions and on the final Examination, 50%of the marks is provided by CTEVT with on-The-Job Training is of 3 months (300 hrs.) Also, 80 % marks are allocated to the practical work and 20 % to the technical knowledge in each practical nature subject.
