Nepal Rastriya Secondary School

The school's history is rooted in the collective effort of local social workers and education enthusiasts who originally began teaching children under the shade of a mango tree in the area.

From those humble beginnings, the school has expanded significantly and now boasts a modern infrastructure featuring 42 buildings, including dedicated facilities for special education and secure boundary walls. 

Beyond traditional academics, the school has evolved into a hub for technical vocational training. It offers specialized 3-year Diploma programs in Computer Engineering, launched in 2075 B.S., and Civil Engineering, introduced in 2077 B.S. These programs are designed to provide students with practical skills and a "strong base" to succeed in a competitive technical landscape.

As of academic year 2081/82, the school serves a student body of 994 students, maintaining a careful balance between enrollment numbers and academic excellence.  Primary education (Grades 1–5) is conducted entirely in English medium, while the lower secondary level (Grades 6–8) offers a choice between English and Nepali mediums. Secondary and senior secondary levels (Grades 9–12) transition to Nepali medium, with Grade 11 and 12 students specializing in either Management or Education streams.
