About Us

Shree Narayan Secondary School is located in the scenic Kumakh Rural Municipality, Ward No. 2, Rumalgaun, Salyan District. Established in 2032 B.S., the school was founded with the vision of providing quality education to young children in the local community and surrounding areas, aiming to develop skilled, responsible, and capable citizens who can contribute meaningfully to national development.

The school offers programs from Nursery through Grade 12, ensuring holistic academic and personal development. In Grades 11 and 12, the school offers education to prepare students for higher education and professional opportunities.

The academic journey at Shree Narayan Secondary School began with Grades 1 to 3, receiving formal approval from the District Education Office, Salyan, in 2032 B.S. Gradually, the school expanded to Grade 4 in 2038 B.S., Grade 5 in 2045 B.S., and Grades 6, 7, and 8 in 2064, 2065, and 2066 B.S., respectively. The school was upgraded to the secondary level, offering Grades 9 and 10, with permission granted in 2068 and 2069 B.S., and later expanded to Grades 11 and 12, with approval granted in 2077 B.S. for Grade 11 and 2078 B.S. for Grade 12.

In 2079 B.S., the school introduced English-medium instruction for students from Nursery to Grade 5. This initiative aims to create parity in parents’ perceptions of public and private schools and to equip students with strong proficiency in English, narrowing the gap between government and private education systems.

The school emphasizes holistic development and maintains a leadership position in academics, sports, discipline, and extracurricular activities. Between 2077 and 2079 B.S., the school won the Presidential Running Shield consecutively at the Kumakh rural municipality. In 2079 B.S., the school ranked third nationwide among community schools in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) by achieving the highest number of students passing with excellent GPAs, earning national recognition, awards, and a prestigious shield, and establishing its name prominently at the national level.
