Public Schools in Gokarneshwar

Gokarneshwar Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Kathmandu District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 149,366, comprising 73,235 males (49.0%) and 76,131 females (51.0%), with a literacy rate of 85.53%. Spanning 58.5 square kilometers, Gokarneshwar Municipality exhibits the population density of 2,553 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Gokarneshwar has 123 schools. Of these, 102 are private and 19 are public. The breakdown includes 88 pre-schools, 113 basic schools, and 80 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 36 offer +2 programs.
