About Us

Shree Kedar Secondary School was established in (2004 B.S.) 1947 AD during the Rana period when Dev Shamser was the Prime Minister of Nepal. The school was first named 'Kedar Aadhar Pathashala' after 'Kedar', who was known as 'Guru'. It is located in Nechasalyan Rural Municipality in the southern part of Solukhumbu District, in an area with a large population. Students from various districts, including neighboring Okhaldhunga and Khotang, come to study here.

The school has grown step by step over time. It became a Lower Secondary School in 1979 AD and a Secondary School in 1996 AD. As the number of students increased, it was upgraded to a Higher Secondary School in 2010 AD. Later, following the government's policy, it continued as a secondary-level school offering higher secondary programs. The official name of the school is 'Shree Kedar Secondary School'.

To meet current needs and the preferences of students and parents, the School Management Committee decided to introduce technical education. After obtaining approval from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, the school was authorized to offer a Technical Stream in Civil Engineering for classes 9 to 12.
