Kalika Manavgyan Secondary School, located in Kalikanagar, Butwal, is a model of educational excellence and transformation in Nepal’s community school sector. Established in 1961 A.D. through the dedication of local residents and ex-army personnel, the school has grown into the nation’s largest community school with over 8,000 students in ECD to grade 12.

Beginning as a primary school, Kalika was upgraded to a lower secondary level school in 2029 B.S and to a secondary level school in 2032 B.S. Today, the school stands as a leading community school in Rupandehi district. The school has played a significant role in improving the quality of education. It has been able to maintain an "A Grade School" status because of its strong management, high-quality education, and dedicated teachers. 

This school is an ISA-certified community school. Many students come to this school from far away. It is one of the leading government community schools. Many poor students, as well as students from remote areas, attend this school. 

Kalika Manavgyan Secondary School offers both General and Technical Education. In general education, the school offers classes from ECD to class 12, and in the technical stream, it offers Computer Engineering from class 9 to 12. 

As of the academic year 2081, the school has 8,087 students, the highest number among community schools in Nepal. It employs 252 teaching staff and 45 non-teaching staff. As part of our social responsibility, we offer free hostel accommodation to orphaned and underprivileged students.
