Janak Model Secondary School

Janak Model Secondary School is one of the oldest and most respected educational institutions in Gaindakot-5, Nawalparasi. It is located in the beautiful Lumbini zone, near the birthplace of Gautam Buddha.

The school was established in 2015 (Bikram Sambat 2072). Many dedicated people, including intellectuals, head teachers, social workers, community members, and the school management committee, worked hard to start and build it. Among them, Late Surya Bhakta Adhikari (a former Member of Parliament) played a leading role. Much of the credit for founding the school goes to him and other pioneers.

The school offers education in both Nepali and English, from Play Nursery to Class 12. It offers good facilities and a pleasant learning environment, making it very attractive to students and parents. Around 1,500 students from different backgrounds study here.

The school's main goal is to provide quality education to children from all races, ethnic groups, and communities. Although it is a government school, it has earned a good name not only in Nepal but also beyond the country.
