About Us

Bijeswori Secondary School (BSS) was founded in 1981. Over three decades since its humble beginnings, a small school run by a handful of dedicated teachers and staff has grown into a full-fledged higher secondary institution. We feel our growth reflects the trust and confidence that the parents, students, and the community have placed in us. Their trust in us assures that we have been serving them satisfactorily. It is this trust that drives us to continue meeting the expectations that people have of us.

Established through a private initiative, Bijeswori School is an independent, non-governmental institution. It is being developed as an institution of higher learning and is dedicated to maintaining high standards of academic excellence. Bijeswori School takes pride in its consistently outstanding academic results, which reflect the support, trust, and cooperation of students, parents, and our well-wishers.

The school, in line with its mission and policy, operates by establishing different levels, each of which functions autonomously under the school's aegis. Each level operates under the supervision of the Academic Council. Subject committees at each level recommend and oversee program curricula and changes.

Adequate legal provisions were in place when Bijeswori School was established, authorizing the school to formulate and amend its own rules and regulations, covering organizational, administrative, personal, and academic matters as and when deemed necessary.

VISION

Bijeswori Secondary School envisions its students developing qualities that enable them to meet the challenges of the modern world. The school focuses on holistic development to help students become individuals with a deep sense of responsibility to their society and country.

The school's vision is to be a leading educational institution in Nepal that provides intellectual, social, and ethical growth to students, empowering them to achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.

BSS works to expose students to diverse possibilities and provides experiences that help develop not only their academic potential but also their intellectual, professional, ethical, and spiritual growth.

MISSION

Bijeswori Secondary School's mission is to nurture students' talent so they can fulfill their potential. The school provides numerous opportunities for students to hone their positive instincts. Every day, BSS works to inspire students with core values such as integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility, which form the foundation of their growth and success.

The school's mission is to provide a holistic and inclusive education that empowers students with knowledge, skills, and values, enabling them to excel academically, develop strong character, and become responsible global citizens.

The school is dedicated to delivering quality education that meets national and international standards while encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Core Values

  • Excellence in Education: The school strives for academic rigor and innovation in teaching and learning.

  • Character Building: Emphasis is placed on moral values, discipline, and social responsibility.

  • Inclusivity: Students from diverse backgrounds are welcome and provided with equal opportunities.

  • Community Engagement: Students are encouraged to contribute positively to their communities and society.

Achievement

Bijeswori Secondary School measures its success through the accomplishments of its students. The school believes that achievement is not limited to winning awards or securing top scores. It also includes participation in events that support students' intellectual and emotional growth.

The school focuses on more than academic excellence. It equally values success in extracurricular activities. Talent, regardless of the field, is recognized and nurtured with equal care and dedication. Whether a student shows promise in the classroom or on the sports field, the school provides the same level of support and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.

This commitment to helping students achieve their goals has led the school to success in many areas in recent years.

Class Size: 35 Students in one class
Session Timing: Morning 6:00 am to Afternoon 12:00 pm

Academic Achievement

Since its establishment in 2061 BS, Bijeswori Secondary School has consistently achieved 100% pass rates in the SLC/SEE examinations. Within a short period of offering Plus Two programs, the school has maintained a 100 percent pass rate with distinctions each year. Many former students are now working in various national and international organizations.

Non-Academic

Time and again, students are involved in non-academic events, such as quiz contests and volunteering at art exhibitions. Some of the events our students participated in include the All Nepal Peace Quiz Contest, NTV Participation in School Essay Contest, Ncell Kalajatra, an art event, Appearance of Light, an art exhibition, etc.

Furthermore, fine arts students regularly attend studio visits with renowned artists to deepen their understanding of the philosophical and technical aspects of the arts. Because art today is not merely about creation, it is also about articulating it after its creation. Moreover, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of how to create, articulate, and promote the arts. Scholars and experts in art and culture will be invited to serve as visiting lecturers at the school for lectures and presentations.

Encouraging students to participate in such events will help develop art skills and ideas, which in turn will support their understanding of the synthesis of Nepalese art. Furthermore, students will develop the skills to interact with a range of individuals, including artists, media professionals, and scholars. Therefore, these non-academic activities can serve as a survival kit for students.

Teaching Methodology

The Bijeswori School believes that all students have the right to quality educational opportunities that develop their potential as individuals and citizens in a democratic society. Thus, careful thought has been given to adopting up-to-date teaching methodologies.

Message from the Chairman

Manik Ratna Tuladhar

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Bijeswori Secondary School. For three decades our school has provided a congenial, caring, and academically stimulating environment that instills in our students a passion for learning and gaining skills that are applicable in the real world

Today’s students are destined for a world of unprecedented competition. Our efforts are directed at preparing them to cope with such competition. To ensure that our students can be the best tomorrow, we invest in teachers who are not just experts in their respective subjects but pioneers who use innovative techniques to educate their wards. In addition, our teachers create not only an environment of learning but of enthusiasm and happiness.

But our efforts are not limited to academics alone. We take special care to inculcate social and moral values in our students, so that they may contribute to our society in the future.

We aim to provide a learning culture that explores and strengthens the potential which is innate in every individual but awaiting expression. In order to do so, we provide an environment that enriches the intellectual, emotional, and physical development of the student in an atmosphere that is happy and nurturing.
