Admission Policy

A student’s financial background, family occupation, gender balance in each classroom, and ethnicity are areas taken into consideration.

• The school maintains a high level of economic, ethnic, and occupational diversity among parents, as well as a gender balance in classrooms.
• Priorities are given to children of Nepali citizens or foreign returnees. Aksharaa Kindergarten also caters to students from foreign nations.
• Priorities will be given to siblings of the students already at Aksharaa, students on the waiting list for various grade levels, and students of the local community.
• Students seeking admission should contact the school at the earliest to ensure high chances of admission.
• Children should undergo an assessment to evaluate their readiness for kindergarten. This assessment includes activities to evaluate cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Children under 1.5 years are not accepted, as they are not developmentally ready for the kindergarten curriculum.
