Adhunik Rastriya Secondary School

Adhunik Rastriya Secondary School, located in Hetauda-4, Makwanpur, was established on 2nd Jestha 2024 B.S. Initially founded as a primary school near Bhutandevi Secondary School, it has since developed into a model educational institution within the district. Positioned in the heart of Hetauda, the school is recognized for its integration of technology, often being referred to as a "computerized school." While originally a government-owned entity, its management was officially transitioned to the community on Kartik 27, 2060 B.S.

The school is notable for its international standards, being the first and only institution in Makwanpur to receive the International School Award (ISA 2020/2023) from the British Council. It provides an inclusive learning environment for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. The physical infrastructure comprises multiple buildings surrounded by greenery and gardens, designed to foster a peaceful atmosphere for study.

Academic excellence has been a central focus since the school received permission to operate secondary-level classes in 2034 B.S. After presenting its first batch of students for the SLC examination in 2036 B.S., the institution has consistently achieved results higher than the national average. Significant milestones include a 99% pass rate in 2062 B.S. and a 100% success rate in 2067 B.S.

As a pioneer in the region, the school introduced formal computer science education in 2057 B.S. and became the first in Nepal to include journalism as a subject in the SLC curriculum in 2058 B.S. For over a decade, it has maintained high rankings in the district and has been recognized as one of the top-performing schools in the Central Development Region and nationally, based on aggregate scores. The school continues to focus on academic improvement and the organization of various educational and extracurricular programs.
