Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education has published an application form filling notice for applying for the "Nepal Bidhya Bhusan" KA, KHA, and GA Awards, "Nepal Chhatra Bidhyapadak 'KA' and 'KHA,' and Nepal Prabidhi Bidhya Bhusan. Eligible candidates can apply after affixing the stamps of Rs. 10 and submit it to Human Resource Development Centre, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
Nepal Bidhya Bhusan, Nepal Chhatra Bidhyapadak, and Nepal Prabidhi Bidhya Bhusan will be conferred to eligible candidates on Ashoj 02, 2082 i.e. National Education Day by the President of Nepal.
Application submission deadline: Bhadra 04, 2082.

Nepal Bidhya Bhusan
- Class ´A´ medals and certificates: Must have obtained a PhD or a higher degree and received the original certificate.
- Class 'B' Medals Eligibility:
▪ Must have studied as a regular Master's student in the academic year 2081 B.S.
▪ Must have secured the first position within the concerned faculty, institute, or school, either:
– With distinction or first division, or
– Under the grade point system, obtained an overall GPA of at least 3.0, with the highest GPA across all subjects. - Class 'C' Medals Eligibility:
▪ Must have studied as a regular Bachelor's level student in the academic year 2081 B.S.
▪ Must have secured the first position within the concerned faculty, institute, or school, either:
– With distinction or first division, or
– Under the grade point system, obtained an overall GPA of at least 3.0, with the highest GPA across all subjects.
Required Documents
1. Citizenship/Passport
- A certified copy of the applicant’s Nepali citizenship certificate, or a passport in case of foreign nationals.
2. Specific Requirements by Medal Category
2.a. For Class ‘A’ Medal (PhD or Equivalent):
- Certified copy of the original PhD (or equivalent) certificate
- One copy of the dissertation abstract
- One hard copy of the dissertation
- Electronic copy (PDF) of the dissertation in a pen drive
- If the dissertation is written in a language other than Nepali or English, the following details must be clearly provided in Nepali:
- Author’s name
- University name
- Title of dissertation
- Year
- Page number
- Name of the city where the university is located
- Biodata
- For candidates with degrees like M.C.H. (Master in Surgery) or D.M. (Doctor of Medicine) or equivalent:
- Certified copies of transcripts for both this level and postgraduate level
- Certified document proving at least two years of work experience in Nepal
2.b. For Class ‘B’ Medal (Postgraduate Level):
- Certified copies of transcripts from:
- Certificate level / Grade 12
- Bachelor's level
- Master’s level
- Certified copy of the original Master’s (or equivalent) certificate
- Recommendation letter from the Controller of Examinations of the concerned university certifying that the applicant secured the top position in the faculty at the postgraduate level
2.c. For Class ‘C’ Medal (Bachelor’s Level):
- Certified copies of transcripts from:
- Certificate level / Grade 12
- Bachelor's level
- Certified copy of the original Bachelor’s certificate
- Recommendation letter from the Controller of Examinations of the concerned university certifying that the applicant secured the top position in the faculty at the bachelor’s level
Note:
- For both "Class B" and "Class C" medals, the candidate must have studied as a regular student in the specified academic year and:
- Secured the first position with first division, or
- Achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0, equivalent to first division, under the grade point system
- A letter from the university’s Examination Controller’s Office confirming the above
- For degrees from foreign universities:
- A certified letter from the Registrar, Dean, or equivalent authority is required, confirming that at least 100 students appeared in the same level and year of examination under the same faculty or school
3. Equivalency Certificate
- If the degree was obtained from a foreign university, submission of the official equivalency certificate is mandatory.
4. Convocation Requirement
- Applications from individuals whose convocation ceremony has not been completed will not be accepted.
5. Translation of Certificates
- If the academic certificate is in a language other than Nepali, Sanskrit, or English, an official translation into Nepali or English must be submitted.
6. Photographs
- Three (3) auto-size photos must be submitted in a separate envelope labeled with:
- Applicant’s name
- Graduation year
- Medal category applied for
7. Original Documents
- Original certificates must be shown at the time of form submission.
- Certification of documents will be done on-site during submission.
8. Document Arrangement
- All documents must be submitted in a separate record file.
Nepal Chhatra Vidyapadak – Class ‘A’ and ‘B’ (For Female Students)
Eligibility
Class ‘A’ Medal:
- Female students who studied as regular Bachelor's level students within Nepal in the academic year 2081 B.S., and
- Scored the highest marks or GPA in the final examination of that year under their respective faculty, institute, or school,
- Must submit a recommendation letter from the Controller of Examinations of the respective university.
Class ‘B’ Medal:
- Female students who passed the Grade 12 exam conducted by Nepal's Examination Board or equivalent examination under CTEVT (Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training) in the year 2081 B.S., and
- Scored the highest marks or GPA,
- Must submit a recommendation letter from the Controller of Examinations of the respective board.
Required Documents
For Both Categories ("A" and "B"):
- Certified copy of the applicant’s Nepali citizenship certificate (or passport for foreign nationals)
- Three auto-size photos, submitted in a separate envelope labeled with the applicant’s name and medal category
Additional Documents for Each Category:
Class ‘A’ Medal (Bachelor’s Level):
- Certified copies of transcripts from:
- Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- Bachelor's level
- Certified copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate
- Recommendation letter from the concerned Examination Controller's Office, confirming that the applicant was the top female scorer
Class ‘B’ Medal (Grade 12 Level or Equivalent):
- Certified copy of the Grade 12 transcript (or equivalent under CTEVT)
- Certified copy of the Grade 12 certificate (or equivalent)
- Recommendation letter from the concerned Examination Controller's Office, confirming the applicant was the top female scorer
Additional Notes
- Original certificates must be presented at the time of form submission.
- Document certification will be done at the submission site.
- Documents should be submitted in a separate record file.
For Nepal Technology Vidyabhushan
- The process will follow the instructions published by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Sanothimi, Bhaktapur.
