SDC Inclusion Fellowship 2026- Southasia Institute for History and Philosophy (SiHP)

The SDC Inclusion Fellowship, offered by the Southasia Institute for History and Philosophy (SiHP) and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) under the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), Switzerland, aims to promote diversity, equity, and social inclusion within the MA in History & Philosophy (MAHP) programme. Under this scholarship, full tuition and a stipend on need basis have been arranged for study in the MA in History and Philosophy programme run in collaboration with Kathmandu University.

The fellowship supports Nepali students from historically marginalised and underrepresented communities, enabling them to pursue higher education in an inclusive academic environment.

Scholarship Details:

Last date for submitting the scholarship application: Friday, 3 April 2026
The scholarship amount: NPR 600,000.
Eligibility:
- One student from Koshi Province.
- One student from Madhesh Province.
- Two students from any region of Nepal.
Priority: Priority will be given to meritorious students from marginalized, minority, and communities that have not been represented in the mainstream of the state.

Required Supporting Documents :

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

Proof of Annual Income Source – Issued by the relevant authority or local Ward Office.
Property Evaluation Certificate – Indicating the current market value of property, issued by the Ward Office.
Document Certifying Minority Status – Official identification confirming minority status (if applicable).
Proof of Residence – A document confirming permanent residence (e.g., recommendation letter from Ward Office or Municipality).
Two Reference Letters – Preferably from recently graduated academic institutions or faculty members.
Bank Statement – Statement from the last six months from the applicant’s bank account.
Other Supporting Documents – Any additional documents that demonstrate financial need.
