The government of Nepal allocates 150 seats for candidates who want to pursue Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) in Nepal. In 2026, the government allocated 31 scholarship seats for students who wish to study BPT in Nepal.
Available scholarship seats are divided into general scholarships ( 17 seats) and reserved scholarships (14 seats). In both categories, the candidates are selected purely based on ranks within this cluster.
For example, for general scholarship, the 17 highest-scoring students in the MECEE-BL for the B. Physiotherapy exam are selected, regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity. For the reservation, the competition will be only among the eligible students in each sub-category of the reservation groups. For example, the four highest-ranking female students will be selected to study B.physiotherapy based on their ranks.
Five Medical Colleges affiliated with Kathmandu University and the School of Health and Allied Sciences of Pokhara University offer B. Physiotherapy programs in Nepal.
