The government of Nepal allocates 65 seats for candidates who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Midwifery Science (BMS) degree in Nepal. In 2026, the government allocated 49 scholarship seats for students who wish to study BMS in Nepal.
Available Midwifery scholarship seats are divided into general scholarships (27 seats) and reserved scholarships (22 seats). In both categories, candidates are selected purely on the basis of merit within this cluster.
Four Health Science Academies (BPKIHS, Karnali Academy, NAMS-Birhospital, and PAHS) offer B. Midwifery Science program in Nepal. KU School of Medical Sciences and Maharajgunj Nursing Campus also offer B. Midwifery program.
