Scholarships to Study B. Optometry in Nepal-2026

The government of Nepal allocates 100 seats for candidates who wish to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Optometry in Nepal for the current academic year. Similarly, the government allocated 56 scholarship seats for students who wish to study B.Optometry in Nepal.

Available scholarship seats are divided into general scholarships (51.8%, i.e., 29 seats) and reserved scholarships (48.2%, i.e., 27 seats). In both categories, candidates are selected purely on the basis of merit within this cluster.

For example, for the general scholarship, the 30 highest-ranking students in the MECEE-BL for the B.Optom exam are selected, regardless of gender, religion, or ethnicity. For the reservation, the competition will be only among the eligible clusters of students in each sub-category. For example, seven female students will be selected to study B.Optometry based on the merit list.

Pokhara University, Tribhuvan University, and NAMS offer this program in Nepal through affiliated or constituent campuses.
