The Education Development Directorate, Madhesh Province, Janakpurdham, has published a notice regarding scholarships for female students in the Dalit, Underprivileged, Muslim, and Meritorious (four groups) categories for higher education.
Female students belonging to the above-mentioned groups who are permanent residents of Madhesh Province and are currently pursuing higher education are requested to submit their application within 30 days from the date of publication of this notice (by Falgun 26, 2082). Applications must be submitted along with the required documents as mentioned below, either by the student herself or through her guardian, to the Education Development Directorate, Madhesh Province.

Eligibility Criteria and Basis for Scholarship Selection
- In the case of meritorious female students, a minimum of 2.8 CGPA or First Division is required. For applicants from other groups, a minimum of 1.6 CGPA or equivalent is required.
- The applicant must be a female student born in Madhesh Province.
- The applicant must have passed the Secondary Education Examination (+2) or Proficiency Certificate Level from a public school and must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s level or higher program at a public or government campus or university. The applicant must be studying in the first year or above, or in the first semester or above.
- A letter of recommendation certifying that the school attended was a public school must be obtained from the relevant local-level Education Section or the Education Development and Coordination Unit.
- Dalit and Muslim applicants must submit a recommendation letter issued by the Dalit Commission, Muslim Commission, or the concerned District Administration Office. Underprivileged applicants must submit a recommendation letter issued by the concerned local level (Ward Office).
- The applicant must have an active and updated bank account in her own name. A copy of the bank cheque must be submitted.
- Selected students under the general stream will receive an annual scholarship of NPR 25,000, while selected students under the technical stream will receive an annual scholarship of NPR 35,000.
All Education Development and Coordination Units within Madhesh Province are requested to provide necessary coordination and support in the collection of application forms.
