Applications are invited for one (1) PhD Scholarship in Zoology under a National Priority Area Research (NPAR) project hosted by the Central Department of Zoology, Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University. The project aims to map the population and distribution of monkey species across Nepal, assess the extent of human-monkey conflict, and identify environmental and socioeconomic drivers of conflict to inform evidence-based management strategies.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's degree in Zoology with specialization in Ecology and Environment, supported by a strong academic record.
- Nepali citizenship.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated skills in independent fieldwork and basic ecological or geospatial data analysis.
- Eligibility for PhD registration at the Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), Tribhuvan University, in the upcoming enrollment cycle. (Candidates already registered at IoST for no more than one year are also eligible.)

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, which will include a brief presentation on their research plan. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
