Kathford International College of Engineering and Management, located at Balkumari, Lalitpur, is an outstanding engineering and management college that provides excellent education through expert faculty members and state-of-the-art resources. 

Affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Kathford International College of Engineering and Management, has announced the introduction of its extensive Kathford Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2025. The college offers a wide array of scholarships to its students across all programs, ensuring that financial assistance is available for various academic and personal achievements.

The scholarship opportunities are divided into nine common categories, which are applicable to all programs, and additional program-specific scholarships. The common scholarship categories include the Kathford Excellence Scholarship, Kathford Merit Scholarship, Kathford Jyapyu Samaj Scholarship, Kathford Alumni Scholarship, Kathford Staff Scholarship, Kathford Balkumari Ward Scholarship, Kathford LCCI Scholarship, Kathford Access Grant, and Kathford Sathi Scholarship. The program-specific scholarship varies according to the programs.

Kathford College is now accepting applications for the scholarship scheme for its following bachelor's programs:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)
BSc Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc CSIT)
Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

The primary objective of this initiative is to offer financial support to students in their educational pursuits, with selection criteria based on skill, need, and merit.

Who can apply?

  1. Students who have completed or are appearing in +2 / A Levels / equivalent examinations.
  2. Students seeking admission in Engineering and Management programs at Kathford International College of Engineering and Management.

Program-Specific Scholarships and Eligibility

BBA and BBM:

  1. TU Scholarship (FoM – Tribhuvan University) : Applicants must appear for and pass the CMAT entrance exam conducted by FoM, Tribhuvan University, with a minimum GPA of 2.0 in +2 or equivalent. The application should be made through a TU-affiliated college at the time of admission. Reservation quotas are applied in accordance with the university’s policy.
  2. U-Go Nepal Scholarship: Open exclusively to female students with at least 70% in both Grade 10 and 12, from families with an annual income below NPR 2,00,000. Applicants must belong to specified districts (see below), and priority is given to marginalized groups such as Dalits, single mothers, differently-abled students, and families of martyrs.
    Eligible Districts: Koshi: Udayapur, Taplejung, Sunsari, Morang, Madhesh: Rautahat, Siraha, Saptari, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Bara, Parsa, Dhanusha, Bagmati: Chitwan, Kathmandu, Dhading, Gandaki: Parbat, Lumbini: Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Nawalparasi, Rupandehi, Palpa, Rolpa, Rukum, Sudurpashchim: Kanchanpur

BCSIT :

  1. Meritorious Scholarship (TU): Based on entrance rank (1st year) or semester exam rank. One male and one female per year. Pays only 5% of the total fee.
  2. Free-ship Scholarship (TU) : 50% Open (Govt. School) + 50% Reserved (Women, Janajati, Dalit, Tharu, Muslim, etc.). Based on merit within each category.

BCA :

  1. EB Pearls Australia Scholarship: Open exclusively to female students
  2. U-Go Nepal Scholarship: Open exclusively to female students with at least 70% in both Grade 10 and 12, from families with an annual income below NPR 2,00,000. Applicants must belong to specified districts (see below), and priority is given to marginalized groups such as Dalits, single mothers, differently-abled students, and families of martyrs.

For All Above Programs:

  1. Excellence Scholarship (Kathford): Open to all Kathford applicants who participate in the scholarship examination and interview process.
  2. Merit Scholarship (Kathford) : Applicants must have appeared for the CMAT exam, secured a qualifying GPA in +2, and participate in both the scholarship test and interview.
  3. Jyapu Samaj Scholarship: Candidates must provide a valid community certificate and fulfill admission requirements.
  4. Kathford Alumni Scholarship: Proof of recommendation and family linkage to alumni is required.
  5. Kathford Staff Scholarship: Official staff recommendation and proof of relation are necessary.
  6. Balkumari Ward Scholarship : Applicants must provide official proof of residence in the ward.
  7. LCCI Scholarship :Applicants must submit a recommendation and proof of relation to LCCI members.
  8. Kathford Access Grant : Candidates must belong to one or more of the following categories: economically disadvantaged, women, residents of remote areas, or Janajati communities.
  9. Kathford Sathi Scholarship : Applicants must be from a recognized Kathford Sathi partner school.
