The Medical Education Commission (MEC), Examination Directorate, has issued a formal notice inviting applications from eligible Nepali students to utilize scholarship seats allocated for the MBBS and BDS academic programs by the Government of Bangladesh.
The decision, formalized by a request from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, is in accordance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' resolution dated 2082/08/11 (November 27, 2025). This initiative aims to select qualified candidates to fill the dedicated scholarship quota in medical and dental colleges across Nepal.
Key Application Details
All prospective candidates must complete their application process within the following deadline:
- Application Starts: 2082/08/25 (December 11) from 10 AM
- Application Deadline: 2082/08/ 27 ( December 13) by 4:00 PM
Seat Allocation and Eligibility
As mandated by Sub-rule (10) of Rule 20 of the National Medical Education Regulations, 2077 (with amendments), the scholarship seats are distributed among various eligibility groups.

Candidates who do not find a dedicated seat in their respective group are instructed to apply through the Open Group based on their academic qualifications.
Minimum Qualification
In order to be considered, applicants must satisfy the following qualifications and conditions:
Achieve a position in the merit list of the latest Common Entrance Examination (MECEE-BL 2026) for the specific academic program.
Must not have obtained a study permit for studying abroad.
Should not have received any nomination for a foreign scholarship.
Must not be currently enrolled in any educational program.
The SLC/SEE/SSC/O-level examination should not have been passed prior to 2022.
The Class 12 /A-level examination should not have been passed before 2024.
When applying online for the scholarship seat offered by the Government of Bangladesh, candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirements specified in Annex 'C' attached to this notification.
It is mandatory to fulfil the criteria mentioned in this notice, as well as any other criteria related to the selection process for the Bangladesh scholarship. Failure to meet these criteria will result in disqualification from the scholarship selection process.
Online Application Process
- Candidates included in the merit list based on the results of the Unified Entrance Examination must browse the Medical Education Commission (MEC) web portal at https://entrance.mec.gov.np, click the Login button, and log in to their profile.
- In the Application menu of their profile, candidates must click on View Details for the MECEE-BL 2026 examination.
- In the Action Column for the MBBS & BDS academic programs, candidates must click on the Apply button located under the "Bangladesh Scholarship (2025/26)" option and submit the form.
