The University Grants Commission (UGC), Sanothimi, has formally invited applications and proposals from different community campuses affiliated with various universities for various grants under the approved Program and Budget for Fiscal Year 2082/083.

The grants are specifically aimed at supporting regular activities and developing physical facilities across the nation's higher education institutions. Campuses can apply for three main types of grants, each with the following distinct eligibility criteria and submission deadlines:

Regular Grant

* Mandatory Rule:
Statistical Data Form-2082 as per ugc.nitc.gov.np:81 and the required fee must be deposited in the specified bank account by the deadline. 


* For Regular Grant: 
The number of students participating  in the examination of the previous year conducted by the campus affiliated with the university must be 50 for the Himalayan district, 75 for the Hill districts, 100 for the Inner Madesh district, 125 for the Terai districts, and 150 for the Kathmandu Valley districts.

Physical Facility Development Grant (Building Construction, Books, Furniture, Equipment, Additional Activities, and Community Development for completing Study/Teaching Infrastructure development for extra-curricular activities)Community campuses that have the student numbers as specified in the Program Procedure, 2082, and have already completed two years of teaching and learning activities
Special GrantCommunity campuses that have the student numbers as specified in the Program Procedure, 2082, and have already completed two years of teaching and learning activities

 

Key Deadlines for Submission of Application/Proposal

  • For Bagmati & Gandaki Provinces: 2082/08/28 during office hours.
  • For Koshi, Madhesh & Lumbini Provinces: 2082/09/01 during office hours.
  • For Karnali & Sudurpashchim Provinces: 2082/08/03 B.S. during office hours.

Applications and separate proposals must be submitted to the Commission within the specified deadlines, in the format prescribed by the Commission’s Program Procedure, 2082. Applications and proposals received after the deadline or not submitted in the prescribed manner will not be processed.

Further detailed information can be obtained from the Program Procedure, 2082, available on the Commission’s website: www.ugcnepal.edu.np.

Submission of false information will result in the immediate cancellation of the application or proposal. Furthermore, the campus concerned will be rendered ineligible for all future grants and facilities from the Commission, and the affiliating university will be officially notified of appropriate disciplinary action.
