Samriddhi School has emerged as the Team Champion of the Indo–Nepal Karate Championship, held over two days at its own school premises. The competition featured 283 players competing in 45 events across Kata and Kumite.
Samriddhi secured the top spot by winning 20 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze medals. Team India finished second with 10 gold medals.
In the Kumite category, Sabir Shrestha Dangol from Samriddhi was named Best Player in the Boys division, while Sapana Giri from Manmaiju earned the honor in the Girls division. In Kata, Anvi Shahi from Bedang stood out, clinching two gold medals and the title of Best Player.
Among coaches, Dambar Bahadur Ale from Bedang was recognized as Best Coach, while Subash Karki was honored as Best Referee.
The award ceremony was graced by Hari Sharan KC, Senior Vice President of the Nepal Karate Federation and President of the Nepal Wadoryu Karate Association.
According to coordinator Ravi Shahi, the championship witnessed a total of 283 athletes competing across 45 events in Kata and Kumite over the two days.
