Premier International IB Continuum School has marked a historic milestone in Nepal’s education sector by becoming the first school in the nation to host a full-fledged TEDx event-TEDxPremierIntlSchool.
The event, held on 7th November 2025 at the School Auditorium under the inspiring theme “Greatness Begins Here,” successfully brought together a vibrant mix of youthful voices and established visionary leaders to celebrate ideas, innovation, and global citizenship.

Young Voices Shine on the TEDx Stage
The event's commitment to nurturing student potential was evident in its impressive lineup of six student speakers, representing all three IB Continuum programs: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (IBDP).
The student speakers included: Darshaneeka Neupane (PYP 5), Jyotsana Khadka (MYP 1), Aayushman Agrawal (MYP 3), Saurya Shrestha (Grade 10), Mantra Pokharel (Grade 10), and Hriddhima Agrawal (IBDP 1).
Each student speaker shared personal stories of courage, empathy, belonging, and perseverance, showing how greatness can begin through small, everyday acts that inspire others.

Diverse Experts Share Purpose-Driven Insights
Adding depth and diversity to the event were the guest speakers, who brought their expertise from a wide range of fields: Honourable Mr. Chiribabu Maharjan, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City; Ms. Sugarika KC, Media Personality and Trainer for Professionals; Dr. Sunita Ghimire Gautam, Molecular Biologist and 2024 Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) Early Career Fellow; Mr. Vikrant Pandey, Social Entrepreneur and Founder of Fightback Nepal; and Mr. Ujaya Shakya, Founder of Outreach Nepal and First Vice President of the Advertising Association of Nepal.
Each talk offered a distinct perspective—from civic leadership and women’s empowerment to storytelling, scientific innovation, and social entrepreneurship—showcasing how purpose-driven work can transform communities.
In her Vote of Thanks, Ms. Pawitra Limbu, Founder Director at Premier International IB Continuum School, expressed heartfelt appreciation to all speakers and attendees. She said, “Platforms like TEDx give our students the opportunity to discover their voice, share their ideas, and prepare for life beyond the classroom. Today’s event was more than just a stage—it was a moment of growth, courage, and connection. We’re proud to have given them an experience they will carry for a lifetime.”

The TEDxPremierIntlSchool event reflected the shared values of TED and Premier—both dedicated to nurturing creativity, innovation, and global citizenship. Through this initiative, Premier once again reaffirmed its mission as Nepal’s only IB Continuum School: to empower young learners to think critically, act compassionately, and lead with purpose. The event stood as a testament to Premier’s belief that when young people are empowered to speak, think, and act with purpose- greatness truly begins here.
