Lumbini Banijya Campus, long regarded as a model community institution in Nepal, has made history by becoming the country’s first educational institution to receive the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certification for the third time from the University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal.
The certificate was awarded during a special ceremony held at the UGC office in Bhaktapur, chaired by UGC Chairperson Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari and attended by Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal as the chief guest.
Participants at the event congratulated Lumbini Banijya Campus for becoming the first campus in Nepal’s history to achieve QAA certification for the third time.
Affiliated with Tribhuvan University and established in 2038 B.S., the campus underwent a final assessment to obtain its third QAA certification. A comprehensive peer review team, including international experts, visited the campus from Poush 22 to 26, 2081 B.S., evaluating it on 120 indicators and conducting interactions with various stakeholders.

Based on these consultations, the team submitted its report to the UGC’s Quality Assurance and Accreditation Council.
