The KMC Haat Bazaar 2082, organized by the KMC Entrepreneurship Club, has concluded successfully on 32nd Shrawan at Kathmandu Model College, Bagbazar, Kathmandu. The event brought together students’ creativity, business skills, and collaborative efforts under a single roof at the open market.
The Haat Bazar provided a golden platform not only for KMC students but also for those students studying in different colleges under KMC Educational Network, including KMC Lalitpur, New Summit College, and MIT College, to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas, innovations, and marketing skills.
Through 24 diverse stalls, students presented a variety of offerings for sale, including delicious cuisines, fashionable clothing, handmade jewelry, handicraft items, and decorative handmade flowers. Each stall reflected the entrepreneurial drive, innovation, and fresh ideas of the participating students.
With nearly 1,000 students in attendance, the event buzzed with energy and excitement. For many participants, this was their first opportunity to both learn and earn in a real-world market setting. From interacting with customers to experiencing the challenges and successes of actual sales, students gained hands-on business exposure.
Outstanding stalls were recognized and awarded by KMC Entrepreneurship Club mentor and faculty member Mr. Bijendra Shah. The award for "Most Innovative Stall" was presented to NutriSip, which impressed all participants with its chocolates and flavorful milkshakes. The stall received a cash prize of NPR 5,000.
Meanwhile, the People’s Choice Award was won by Games & Glory from KMC Lalitpur, which captivated visitors through fun and creative games. The team received a cash prize of Rs 3,000.
Organized and managed by students from 10 AM to 3 PM, the haat bazaar was more than a typical marketplace. It served as a vibrant convergence of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship, according to KMC's IQAC Head, Mr. Dhruba Prasad Timalsina.
