Kathmandu Model College (KMC) has once again reinforced its academic excellence by achieving remarkable results in the BBA and BBM Seventh Semester (2021 Batch) Board Examinations conducted under Tribhuvan University (TU).
In the BBA program, Dilip Bista secured a perfect 4.0 GPA, emerging as the TU Topper (National First). Likewise, Aarju Koirala achieved 3.98 GPA, while Ayusha Thapa and Robinson Bhandari each secured 3.97 GPA. Abinath KC and Prithak Subedi obtained 3.96 GPA; Kriti Karki secured 3.95 GPA; Abishek KC and Anil Khatri achieved 3.93 GPA; Laxmi Kumari and Sadyut Raj Pandey secured 3.93 GPA; Asmita Bhurtel, Dipu Kumar, and Shruti Kumari Mandal obtained 3.92 GPA; Aakriti Adhikari, Asim Adhikari, and Suruchi Sharma achieved 3.91 GPA; and Rajendra Rijal and Sumit Dawadi secured 3.90 GPA. Altogether, 18 BBA students scored above 3.90 GPA, marking a significant academic accomplishment.
Similarly, the BBM program also recorded outstanding results. Riyana Luitel secured 3.97 GPA, Bigul Sapkota obtained 3.96 GPA, Khusi Gupta achieved 3.95 GPA, Mihari ka Acharya secured 3.94 GPA, Kritika Munankarmi obtained 3.93 GPA, Rashi Khadgi achieved 3.92 GPA, Binisha Subedi secured 3.91 GPA, and Prashamsa Shakya obtained 3.90 GPA, further enhancing the academic prestige of the college.
Beyond the university-prescribed curriculum, the college has been conducting various academic and professional development programs. College Chief Surendra Subedi stated that KMC continuously empowers both faculty and students through timely training and capacity-building initiatives. According to him, through the KMC Innovation Lab, the college has been placing special emphasis on fostering entrepreneurship and startup culture. This initiative provides students with innovative thinking, practical business skills, and necessary guidance for venture creation, thereby contributing significantly to the development of self-reliant and creative leadership.
Program Head of BBA and BBM, Sagar Kharel states that the results reaffirm the college’s long-standing academic commitment and dedication to excellence. Dhurba Prasad Timalsina, Head of Internal Quality Assurance, described the achievement as a continuation of KMC’s proud tradition of producing outstanding students at the university level. He further emphasized that enhancing students’ academic quality and preparing competent graduates capable of competing in national and international markets remains the core mission of the institution, alongside equal priority given to co-curricular and extra-curricular engagement.
Recognized for academic excellence, strong infrastructure, and quality management, Kathmandu Model College has been honored by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, as a “Best Educational Institution.” The college is also accredited with Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certification by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The latest results further confirm that KMC’s teaching–learning system, transparency, academic environment, and institutional governance are of national-level excellence.
Established in 2003 (B.S. 2060), Kathmandu Model College currently runs MBS, MA (English), BBA, BBM, BBS, BCA, and BSW programs under Tribhuvan University.
