Kathmandu Model College (KMC) has once again continued its proud tradition of academic excellence by securing outstanding results in the BBA Second Semester Board Examination conducted under Tribhuvan University.
Shubhechhya Nepal secured the top position in Nepal with a 4.0 GPA, while Nisha Basnet ranked second nationwide (TU 2nd Topper) with a 3.99 GPA. Additionally, 12 students from the college achieved a GPA above 3.9, marking a remarkable academic achievement.
In the same semester, the BBM program also recorded excellent performance, with 100% pass rate and a highest GPA of 3.91.

Beyond the university-prescribed curriculum, the college regularly hosts a range of academic activities and training programs for both faculty and students. According to College Chief Surendra Subedi, the institution has successfully enhanced students’ academic standards and produced capable graduates who can compete in the global market. Alongside classroom teaching, students are actively engaged in extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
Through the KMC Innovation Lab, the college has been taking special initiatives to promote entrepreneurship and startup culture among students. This initiative nurtures innovative thinking and business skills and provides the guidance necessary to establish enterprises, thereby fostering self-reliant and creative leadership.
Due to its academic excellence, strong infrastructure, and quality management, Kathmandu Model College has been awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology with “Best Campus Award “among all the private colleges operating in the country. The college is also accredited by the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) of the University Grants Commission Nepal. Such outstanding results reaffirm that the college’s teaching-learning system, transparency, academic environment, and institutional governance meet national standards of excellence.
Program Head of BBA and BBM, Mr. Sagar Kharel, stated that the college remains committed to enhancing its academic excellence and ensuring bright academic and professional futures for its students.

Established in 2060 B.S. (2003 A.D.), Kathmandu Model College currently offers programs under Tribhuvan University, including MBS, MA (English), BBA, BBM, BBS, BCA, and BSW.
