Tribhuvan University Academic Calendar -2081

In a recent move to streamline academic operations, Tribhuvan University has officially approved and implemented a new annual academic calendar, effective from the academic session 2081.

This decision, ratified by the Standing Committee of the Academic Council during their meeting on Asar 25, 2081 (Decision No. 196), mandates all institutes, faculties, constituent campuses, central departments, departments, and programs under the university to adhere to the newly structured schedule.

The Office of the Academic Registrar issued a formal notification on the 28th of Ashadh, 2081, instructing the concerned bodies (All Institutes / Faculties / Constituent Campuses / Central Departments / Departments / Programs and all other bodies) under Tribhuvan University to ensure the seamless implementation of the new calendar.

In addition, a dedicated committee has been established to oversee and regularly monitor the adherence to and execution of the academic calendar, ensuring that the university's educational activities proceed without disruption.

Bachelor Level (Annual) Academic Calendar 2081- Tribhuvan University

This calendar is applicable to 

1. Institute of Science and Technology (IoST) (BSc General; B.Tech Food)
2. Institute of Medicine (IOM)
3. Faculty of Education (FoE) (B.Ed)
4. Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FoHSS) (BA)
5. Faculty of Management (FoM) (BBS)

Note: 

• Sports Week: Paush 1st week every year;
• Free Students' Union Election: 2081 Falgun 15; 2083 Falgun 14
• A minimum of one to two week semester break will replace the current winter and summer breaks.
• After the final semester results are released, there will be a make-up exam within two weeks.
• Make up exam will be held in Kartik 2nd week

1. All practical (practicum) exams to be finished within two weeks after the final exams.
2. Each year, the MBBS admission will be decided in consultation with the Medical Education Commission of Nepal.
3. If there are internships available for any existing or prospective future courses or programs, special consideration should be given to them.
4. Free Students' Union Election: 2081 Falgun 15; 2083 Falgun 14
5. SPORTS WEEK: The first week of Paush each year.
6. There will be 1-2 week semester break instead of winter and summer break.
7. Make-up exam will be held in Mangsir 2nd week.
