Tribhuvan University (TU) has decided to launch a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in the Sanskrit subject starting from the upcoming academic year. The decision was made during a meeting of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at TU.
According to the faculty's Assistant Dean Bam Dev Adhikari, the university will begin offering the PhD program in Sanskrit under the Faculty of Humanities from next year. He also informed that the council has decided to publish the results of all examinations conducted by the Faculty of Humanities within 100 days.
Similarly, TU is preparing to introduce a theatre program under the Mass Communication and Journalism discipline, Adhikari added.
In addition, the university has decided to revoke the affiliation of Nava Kshitiz College in Bardibas, Mahottari. The meeting also approved permission for Ratna Rajyalaxmi Campus, Exhibition Road, to conduct a Master’s level program in Mass Communication and Journalism, and for Saraswati Campus, Thamel, to offer a Master’s level program in Political Science.
