Update October 13, 2025
In the context of adding subjects or programs in private and community campuses/colleges affiliated with Tribhuvan University, a notice was previously published on 2082/05/18 (September 3, 2025) with regard to the decision of the T.U. Executive Council. The Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Planning Directorate, has published a revised notice to further clarify the previous notice.
Accordingly, regarding the addition of subjects or programs, sections, and quotas under the Institute of Science and Technology, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Law in private and community campuses/colleges affiliated with T.U., concerned parties are informed to apply to the office of the respective Dean within 35 days from the date of this publication, as per the T.U. Affiliation By-laws, 2073 (including the amendment made by T.U. Executive Council Decision No. 105 dated 2082/05/14) and T.U. Executive Council Decision No. 143 dated 2082/06/25.
Notes:
- Limit on Program and Subject Addition: Colleges that meet the prescribed criteria will be permitted to add a maximum of two new programs or two new subjects at the Bachelor's (undergraduate) level.
- Application and Affiliation Fee: The original bank voucher proving that the application and affiliation fee, which is deposited into its office's Nepal Bank's Current Account No. 04500100099107000001, must be submitted to its office.
Documents Required to Be Submitted with the Application Form:
(a) Bank Voucher (original)
(b) Certificate verifying Community Campus/College
(c) Letter of Periodic Renewal from Tribhuvan University
(d) Evidence of payment/clearance of any outstanding fees
(e) Financial source and a detailed project plan (minimum 10 pages) for the operation of the program
(f) Detailed description of the necessary physical infrastructure, qualified teachers, and administrative capacity for the operation of the program
(g) Certified details of the number of students enrolled, who appeared in examinations, and who passed over the past five years
(h) Certified documents requested through the feasibility study by the concerned Dean's office
(i) Documents as specified in Chapter 4 (13) of the TU Affiliation Regulation, 2072

In a recent notice, Tribhuvan University (TU) has announced that its affiliated campuses and colleges can apply for the addition of subjects or academic programs conducted by TU.
According to section 4, subsection (12) of the Tribhuvan University Affiliation Regulation, 2073, private and community campuses operating with affiliation from Tribhuvan University are hereby notified to submit applications to the Dean's office of the relevant faculty to add subjects or programs, as per the decision of the Tribhuvan University Executive Council on 2082/05/15 (September 1, 2025), and in accordance with subsection (13) of the same section.
However, these institutions must submit all necessary documentation related to the new programs to the respective dean's offices within 35 days of the notice's publication.
