The Nepal Medical Council has opened online applications for the upcoming Special Examination. This notice is published for the information of all concerned, as the examination program has been scheduled as follows:
Key Details:
- Examination Date: Chaitra 19 and 20, 2082 (April 02–03, 2026).
- Form Submission Dates:
Regular Fee: From Falgun 01, 2082, to Falgun 28, 2082 (February 13 to March 12, 2026).
Late Fee: Falgun 29 and Falgun 30, 2082 (March 13-14, 2026) - Location: Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk, Lalitpur.
- How to Apply: Follow the instructions provided at exam.nmc.org.np.
The system for completing and submitting the online application form will be available 24 hours a day. Application forms and fees submitted through means other than the online system will not be valid. For further information, please contact the Nepal Medical Council Examination Committee.
Note: In the case of students who have completed undergraduate or postgraduate medical programs abroad, an official Equivalency Certificate of their educational degree must be compulsorily attached at the time of online application (as per the public notice published in Gorkhapatra on 2077 Mangsir 29).
Additionally, an official letter from the Department of Immigration containing full details of entry and exit (except for India) from the date of departure for studies abroad until the date of return to Nepal after completion of studies must be submitted as a compulsory document.

The Nepal Medical Council (NMC) has issued a notice inviting applications for its Special Examination for medical professionals seeking a Specialist Registration Certificate. This is a mandatory exam for individuals who have completed their MD/MS/MDS or equivalent specialist programs in various medical disciplines recognized by the NMC, both domestically and internationally.
The examination is scheduled to take place on Mangsir 16 and 17, 2082. (December 2 and 3, 2025).
Key Details:
1. Documents Required with the Application Form:
- Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate.
- Copy of the Temporary or Permanent Registration Certificate obtained from the Nepal Medical Council.
- Copy of the certificate/proof of having successfully completed the relevant specialisation subject.
- 2 recent passport-size photographs.
- A copy of the Passport (except for studying in Nepal and India) and PG Eligibility Certificate is mandatory for those who have studied abroad.
- Details of the PG Eligibility Certificate must be submitted for students studying abroad.
2. Form Submission Details:
- The application form can be submitted from Kartik 14 to Mangsir 02, 2082 (October 31 to November 18, excluding public holidays at NMC, Bansbari, Kathmandu. The form can also be submitted between Sunday and Thursday from 10 am to 3:50 pm, and on Friday from 10 am to 2:50 pm.
3. Examination Fee:
- The Special Examination fee of Rs. 7,000 must be deposited into the savings account of SBI Bank's savings account number - 2043 5240 1000 22, or Rastriya Banijya Bank, Maharajgunj branch's bank no. 1150 1000 0233 1001, and the original voucher must be submitted.
4. Late Fee Submission:
- The application form can be submitted with a late fee of Rs. 1,500 from Mangsir 3 to 4 (November 19-20)
5. Forms applied via postal, courier, fax, and email will not be registered
6. Entrance Card Distribution:
- Entrance Cards will be distributed to the applicants on Mangsir 11, Thursday, and 12, Friday, i.e, November (27 and 28). The card will be distributed from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm on Thursday, and from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm on Friday.
- While issuing an entrance card, one must submit a voucher received from the council
- The examination centre is the Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, Lalitpur.
