The National Examination Board (NEB), Office of Controller of Examination( Grade 10), has extended the deadline for submitting the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) 2082 application form.

The previous deadline for filling out the examination application form was set for Date 2082/08/16 (December 2, 2025). Following requests from students, schools, guardians, and other stakeholders, the NEB has granted an extension.

Students are now requested to submit their application forms for the SEE 2082 exam by the revised deadline: 2082/08/24 (December 10, 2025).

The Examination Controller has requested all concerned parties, including students, schools, and parents, to comply with the new schedule and ensure timely submission.

Update: November 7, 2025

The National Examinations Board (NEB), through its Office of Controller of Examination( Grade 10) in Bhaktapur, has issued a detailed clarification regarding the filling out the application form of Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for the upcoming 2082 examinations. The notice specifically targets both regular examinees and those appearing for partial or subject grade increment examination.

Additionally, NEB directed to pay attention of the following things while applying via computer entry for registration form and application form of the students from different districts:

  • Regular students who passed the SEE in 2079 or later from 2079, and are seeking for grade increment OR those who obtained Non Graded (NG) are eligible to appear in a partial exam( only for the subjects on which they received a NG)
  • Those who attended regular exam on  2079 and appeared in grade increment but  unable to obtain 1.6 GPA (as criteria set by National Curriculum Evaluation Council  on 2079/5/19 to be eligible for Grade 11 admission), they can also apply on those subjects where they got lower than 1.6 GPA. OR
  • Those regular students who obtained NG in 2080 or the following year from  2080 can also apply on those subject where they received NG (as per provision of Letter Grading Directive- 2078, fourth revised 2081/03/16's 7 (2) G(1)).

Data Verification 

  • Since discrepancies are found in entrance card  and  details in registration/application form filled by the students,  the soft copy  after entering the form by the students is mandated to be submitted to the respective schools. The schools also need to verify each students' personal details, date of birth, certificate. The subject code and full course of study must be verified with the subject code and course provided from Curriculum Development Center and sent them to the Education Development and Coordination Unit and subsequently upload the verified data after approval from the District Education Development and Coordination Unit/concerned schools.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations (Grade 10) under the National Examination Board has issued this notice for the information of students and schools, as well as the Education Development Directorates, Education Development and Coordination Units, and Local Education Branches/Metropolitan/Sub-Metropolitan Municipalities, regarding the submission of SEE application forms for students regularly studying in Grade 10. 

Key Details

  • Application Submission Period: Kartik 17, 2082 (November 3, 2025) to Mangsir 16, 2082 (December 2, 2025)
  • Application Fee: Rs. 500
  1. For Regular Students Currently Studying in Grade 10 in General, Traditional, and Religious Stream Schools: Students currently studying as regular Grade 10 students must submit the following documents, along with the application form, by affixing two recent passport-size photos in the designated space and including the required fee, to their respective schools:
    (a) A copy of the Registration Form.

    (b) A copy of the Certificate of Completion of the Basic Level (Grade 8), if applicable, from the academic session 2060 B.S. or earlier.

    (c) A copy of the Birth Registration Certificate (verified by the Headmaster).

  2. For Students Studying in Open, Alternative, and Non-Formal Adult Schools: 
    (a) Students who have enrolled and fulfilled all the conditions specified in Clauses 15 and 17 of the Two-Year Full Teaching/Open Learning Program Operating Directive (Including Amendment), 2063, must submit the application form, along with the prescribed fee, to the concerned school. This must include the documents verified by the Headmaster and two recent passport-size photos affixed in the designated space. Alternative Open students must have passed Grade 8 or its equivalent as per the Directive. 

    The Coordination Unit must confirm whether the students in Non-Formal Adult schools or Alternative Open schools meet the criteria by checking the authorization letters and other documents of the school.

    (b) Students studying in Non-Formal Adult Schools must submit the application form, along with the prescribed fee, to the concerned school. This must include a recommendation, certified documents from the Headmaster confirming all conditions of the Non-Formal Adult School Operation Directive, 2065, are met, and two recent passport-size photos affixed in the designated space.

  3. To be eligible for the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of 2082 B.S., the candidate must attain 14 years of age by the end of Chaitra 2082 B.S.
  4. The schools must review and confirm that the names, surnames, date of birth, and subjects for the examination of the students submitting application forms as per points 1 and 2 are filled in correctly, with no discrepancies in literacy, and that the names are verified in certified English Alphabet. The summarized form, along with the bank voucher or cash receipt for the collected fee, must be submitted to the Education Development and Coordination Unit by Mangsir 21, 2082 B.S.
  5. The final date for the concerned Education Development and Coordination Units to deposit the revenue for the examination fee is Mangsir 22, 2082 B.S.
  6. The Education Development and Coordination Units must enter the received application forms into the computer system, verify them, and send the final hard copies to the National Examination Board, Office of the Controller of Examinations Grade 10, and the concerned Education Directorates by the end of Poush 2082 B.S.
