Pauwadungma Rural Municipality in Bhojpur District of Province No. 1 has planned to provide free technical education. With the goal of producing skilled manpower needed within the municipality, 12 students will be offered free technical education.
According to Chief Administrative Officer Navin Bhattarai, applications have been called for students to study at the Sumnima Polytechnic Institute in Bhojpur, which is affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). The municipality has arranged scholarships for 12 students to pursue three-year diploma-level programs in Civil Engineering, Agriculture and Animal Science, and Plant Science.
Chairperson of the Rural Municipality, Kiran Rai, stated that the initiative aims to ensure that economically disadvantaged but talented students within the municipality are not deprived of technical education due to financial constraints. The scholarships are targeted at students who have passed the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year.
"Technical education is the need of the hour," he said. "We are providing fully subsidized technical education to ensure students are not deprived of quality education due to financial difficulties. Our goal is to produce the necessary skilled manpower right here."
