NOU Announces Medalists for its First Convocation Ceremony

Nepal Open University (NOU) has published the finalized list of medalists for its upcoming first convocation ceremony. This event will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 (Magh 11, 2082), at the Nepal Police Club’s Blue Pavilion in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Nepal Open University (NOU) has released the names of students selected to receive prestigious academic medals during its upcoming first convocation ceremony.

The historic ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 25, 2026 (Magh 11, 2082). The university has selected the Nepal Police Club’s The Blue Pavilion in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, as the venue for this landmark occasion.

Four students have been named as recipients of the university's top academic honors based on their outstanding Cumulative Grade Point Averages (CGPA):

Chancellor Medal (Post-Graduate Level)

  • Sujan Sapkota (2075): Faculty of Science, Health, and Technology (CGPA: 3.95)
  • Nisha Adhikari (2076): Faculty of Science, Health, and Technology (CGPA: 3.88)

Vice-Chancellor Medal (Graduate Level)

  • Prajjwal Mahat (2075): Faculty of Management and Law (CGPA: 3.17)
  • Krishna Sharma Sapkota (2076): Faculty of Management and Law (CGPA: 3.39)

In the interest of transparency, the university has stated that any student who believes they have a rightful claim to receive a convocation medal, or wishes to contest the current list, must contact the Central Office in Manbhawan with supporting evidence. The deadline for filing claims or objections is January 21, 2026 (Magh 8, 2082).

Following the deadline, the university will finalize the recommendations for the medal awards as per the published list. Otherwise, the students listed in this notice will be officially recommended for the medals.
