Nepali Universities Hold on Examination and Regular Activities Following Gen Z Protests

Thousands of students studying in central departments, faculties, constituent campuses, and affiliated campuses of Nepali Universities have been affected by uncomfortable circumstances amid the Gen Z movement. Many universities in Nepal have postponed the regular examination scheduled from 24th Bhadra,2082  following the  unforeseen difficulties in transportation and possible disruption amid the critical situation caused due to the Gen Z protest  that began from 23rd Bhadra, 2082. 

Tribhuvan University,(TU) Office of the Controller of Examinations, Balkhu issued a notice  for the postponement of the four-year Bachelor's Second Year (Partial and Chance) examination that were scheduled to be held on Bhadra 24, 25, and 26, 2082. The examinations will be held on Ashwin 2, 4 and 5, 2082.

TU's Institute of Engineering (IOE), Examination Control Division, has also issued a notice announcing the postponement of all Bachelor's and Master's degree examinations scheduled from Bhadra 26 onward until further notice.

Similarly, Mid-West University also postpones its examination scheduled from Bhadra 24 until further notice. Students are advised to regularly visit the university's official website and notice boards for further information.

Likewise, Kathmandu University School of Science also postponed the examination scheduled for Bhadra 24. According to its notice, the examination which was scheduled for the day, will be held on Bhadra 27, 2082.

Kathmandu University School of Medical Science also postponed the Bhadra 24's examination for one day.

Similarly, Institute of Engineering , Pulchowk Campus, also postponed BArch Aptitude Test which is scheduled for Bhadra 24 has been postponed for uncertain time.

Purbanchal University also postponed the examination of Bachelor's and Master's programs which was scheduled from Bhadra 24, has been postponed for uncertain period.

Likewise, Pokhara University also postponed the ongoing semester-end  examination scheduled for Bhadra 24, has been postponed for uncertain period. The university has informed that it will inform about the new schedule and conduct date of the postponed exams through another notification.

Agriculture and Forestry University has also postponed all regular academic activities (teaching and examinations) scheduled from Bhadra  26 to Ashoj 2, for the uncertain time until further notice.

Nepal Sanskrit University also holds its academic activities and administrative work for two days due to rising unpleasant circumstances. It also postponed its ongoing examination of Acharya level that falls from Bhadra 24  to 27 for uncertain time until further notice issued from its Examination Controller Office.

TU Institution of Science and Technology, has also announced the postponement of its ongoing regular and chance examinations of Bachelor's and Master's level originally scheduled from Bhadra 27 for uncertain period of time until further notice.

Further, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, TU, has announced the postponement of all ongoing examinations, including the regular end-semester examination of the Master’s third semester, the BCA second and eighth semester examinations, the MCA first semester examination, and the BCA entrance examination for the academic session 2082, due to the unexpected difficult circumstances in the country. The revised examination schedule will be published through another official notice.

Similarly, Faculty of Management, (FoM), TU  has also postponed all examinations including regular, chance, and special chance for Bachelor's, Master's, and M. Phil level students under the semester system. The FoM's Dean Office issued a notice on 2082/05/25 announcing the postponement of its ongoing and pre-scheduled examinations until further notice. It will publish a new notice with the resumption of exams and new schedules for the postponed examinations only after the second week of Kartik.
