Amity University, Patna, India, and Manmohan Technical University (MTU), Morang, Koshi Province, Nepal, have signed an agreement for educational and technical cooperation. The agreement was signed between the School of Training and Learning of Amity University and the School of Applied Science, Technology, and Law of MTU.
According to the agreement signed last week, Amity and MTU will collaborate in academic programs, research, training, and student exchange. They plan to implement joint projects in science, technology, and engineering, and provide students with practical opportunities through workshops, seminars, and internships. Moreover, MTU will connect Nepali students with international-level training, study, and research, while Amity will take responsibility for curriculum development, conducting training programs, and providing technical resources.
The agreement was jointly signed by MTU’s Registrar, Dr. Dilnath Phuyal, and Principal of the Institute of Law, Koshraj Neupane, and Amity’s Secretary, Dr. N.K. Yadav and Head of the Law Department, Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Jha.
Chancellor of Amity University, Prof. Archan Thakur, Head of the Law Department, Prof. Rajiv Rai, and other senior officials attended the signing ceremony for the agreement. On behalf of MTU, Registrar Dr. Dilnath Phuyal, Principal Koshraj Neupane, and other officials were there.
According to MTU Registrar Dr. Dilnath Phuyal, the agreement will initially be valid for three to five years, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual understanding. He stated that this cooperation between Amity University Patna and Nepal’s Manmohan Technical University will enhance international academic collaboration, student exchange, and academic excellence.
Established in 2076 B.S. by the Koshi Province Government, Manmohan Technical University has rapidly expanded its academic cooperation with international universities. Previously, MTU has signed MoUs with Gauhati University (Assam, India) and West Bengal University for academic collaboration.
Additionally, the university has invited experts from universities in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan to serve as visiting faculty, conducting classes. Last month, students from MTU’s law faculty visited Amity University, where they gained insight into the Indian Constitution, the legal system, and judicial processes.
Manmohan Technical University has set a goal to become a recognized technical university in South Asia within the next decade.
