LBEF ( Lord Buddha Education Foundation ) College has officially launched Career Pathways, a free training and scholarship program aimed at helping +2 graduates take their first steps toward a career in information technology. Designed as an immersive, two-phase initiative, the program combines hands-on learning with expert mentorship and scholarship opportunities.
The training is tailored for students who have recently appeared in their Grade 12 examinations and are interested in exploring career possibilities in IT.
Phase I: Foundation Program
The first phase is a 15-day introductory training, currently underway at LBEF College. Sessions run daily for two hours (12:15 PM to 2:15 PM) and are designed to equip students with core IT skills and career insights. A total of 25 students are participating in this batch.
This phase covers the following key topics:
- Exploring career opportunities in the IT sector
- Fundamentals of programming and coding logic
- Basics of cybersecurity and digital safety
- Introduction to web development and frontend tools
- Mobile app development and user-focused design
Students who maintain at least 80% attendance during Phase I will qualify for Phase II, which focuses specifically on web designing.
Phase II: Web Designing Program
Phase II is a 6-day advanced session offered to top-performing students from Phase I. This phase dives deeper into the design side of technology, covering:
- UI/UX Design and Color Theory
- HTML5, CSS3, Layouts, and Flexbox
- Responsive Design and Bootstrap
- Prototyping Tools like Figma and Canva
- Final Project Presentation on Demo Day
Incentive: The top two performers will each receive a Rs. 50,000 scholarship for LBEF’s BSc IT program.
This initiative is more than just a training, but a stepping stone for students looking to enter Nepal’s growing tech industry. Participants will:
