The Education Department of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has issued a notice dated 2082/05/28 (September 13, 2025), regarding the operation of schools within its jurisdiction after resolution of the Gen-Z movement.
According to the notice, all schools under KMC are directed to implement special measures to ensure the teaching and learning process is not adversely affected.
Key Directives from KMC
- Teachers and Staff Presence: Starting from 2082/05/29 (September 14, 2025), all teachers and school staff are required to be present at their respective institutions.
- Cleaning Programs: Schools should engage students present on-site in cleaning-related activities and submit a detailed report to the KMC Social Development Department.
- Parental Guidance: Parents are advised not to send their children to school during regular hours until the situation returns to normal.
- Resumption of Classes: If conditions improve by Monday, 2082/05/30 (September 15, 2025), schools should notify parents and resume normal classes.
- Virtual Learning Option: For students whose parents insist on their attendance, schools must arrange virtual classes to continue their studies.
