The Government of China has reconstructed the Jiri Secondary School building, located in Jiri Municipality-6, Dolakha. The school's principal, Kumar Jirel, stated that the building, which was destroyed by the devastating earthquake in Baisakh 2072 B.S., has been rebuilt with an investment of one billion, thirty-one crores, thirty-eight lakhs, and fifty-two thousand rupees.

According to Principal Jirel, preparations are underway to formally hand over the newly built, well-equipped building to the school on Bhadra 28. Regular classes will be held in the newly constructed, modern, and well-facilitated classrooms. The new classrooms are equipped with electronic boards. It took nearly a decade to reconstruct the school building that was destroyed by the earthquake.

Although delayed, a school building with excellent and well-equipped classrooms has been established in the district. The school complex, built with the support of China Aid, comprises a total of seven modern buildings featuring 41 classrooms. The principal also informed that the construction includes a hostel, teachers' residences, an assembly hall, a library, academic and administrative buildings, and a computer lab.

The foundation stone for this school was laid on Baisakh 4, 2050 B.S., and its construction was completed within two years. According to Principal Jirel, the building was constructed with Jiri's geographical and weather conditions in mind, making it not only well-equipped but also environmentally friendly. Currently, 511 students from grades 1 to 12 are studying at the Jiri Secondary School.
