Mid-West University Approves Seven New Educational Programs
Degrees Offered in Nepal

On August 13, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Academic Council at Mid-West University convened under the leadership of Vice Chancellor and Academic Council Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Dhruba Kumar Gautam.

The committee endorsed the curriculum frameworks for seven undergraduate (B.Ed.) programs offered by the Graduate School of Education. The newly approved specializations are English Education, Nepali Education, Mathematics Education, Health and Physical Education, Population Education, Science Education, and Educational Planning and Management.

Developed in line with the core principles of the LMDP model, the curricula focus on practicality, employability, and relevance to present-day needs. Following the completion of the required curriculum development procedures, the Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Member Secretary of the Academic Council, Prof. Dr. Yam Bahadur Karki, presented the proposals for approval.

The meeting was attended by Registrar Prof. Dr. Shobhakhar Kandel, along with Deans, Executive Directors, and the Head of the Examination Management Office.
