Thakre

Thakre Rural Municipality is one of the 13 municipalities in Dhading District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 32,374, comprising 16,204 males (50.1%) and 16,170 females (49.9%), with a literacy rate of 74.32%. Spanning 96.41 square kilometers, Thakre Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 336 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 11 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Thakre has 50 schools. Of these, 5 are private and 45 are public. The breakdown includes 38 pre-schools, 50 basic schools, and 15 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 8 offer +2 programs.
