Simta Rural Municipality is one of the 9 municipalities in Surkhet District of Karnali Province. As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 24,083, comprising 10,620 males (44.1%) and 13,463 females (55.9%), with a literacy rate of 76.5%. Spanning 241.64 square kilometers, Simta Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 100 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 9 wards.
