As per the 2021 census, the rural municipality has a total population of 17,203, comprising 8,222 males (47.8%) and 8,981 females (52.2%), with a literacy rate of 62.04%. Spanning 101.5 square kilometers, Shivapuri Rural Municipality exhibits the population density of 169 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 8 wards.
