Mangalsen

Mangalsen Municipality is one of the 10 municipalities in Achham District of Sudurpashchim Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 26,557, comprising 12,082 males (45.5%) and 14,475 females (54.5%), with a literacy rate of 72.84%. Spanning 220.14 square kilometers, Mangalsen Municipality exhibits the population density of 121 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 14 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Mangalsen has 58 schools. Of these, 2 are private and 56 are public. The breakdown includes 51 pre-schools, 47 basic schools, and 11 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 4 offer +2 programs.
