Rapti

Rapti Municipality is one of the 7 municipalities in Chitwan District of Bagmati Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 66,617, comprising 32,677 males (49.1%) and 33,940 females (50.9%), with a literacy rate of 77.26%. Spanning 212.31 square kilometers, Rapti Municipality exhibits the population density of 314 people per square kilometer. Administratively, it is divided into 13 wards.

According to the latest publicly available report of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD), Rapti has 58 schools. Of these, 10 are private and 48 are public. The breakdown includes 57 pre-schools, 57 basic schools, and 17 secondary schools. Among the secondary schools, 2 offer +2 programs.
